Cecily B Floyd, C.N.M.

Cecily was born in Hollywood, California and graduated from Nursing School in Pocatello Idaho in 1994, with a Bachelor’s degree in Science. She worked at Bannock Regional Medical Center, in Pocatello, Idaho, in labor and delivery, until returning to Graduate School at University of Utah where she earned a Degree of Masters of Science in Nursing (Midwifery specialty) in May of 2002. She was awarded the Wyeth scholarship, and the March of Dimes Scholarship.
Cecily has had the opportunity to practice Nurse-Midwifery both in and out of the hospital setting. In Pocatello, Idaho, Cecily started the first Nurse-Midwifery practice at Bannock Regional Medical Center in 2002. In 2005, she left practice to teach at Idaho State University in the nursing program. Soon after, her family relocated to the Dallas area where she practiced in a local Birthing Center. In 2008, she practiced at Parkland with 37 other CNMs delivering care to a mostly indigent population. Then, in May of 2009, Cecily joined the team of physicians at Women’s Health Alliance with Privileges at Baylor University Medical Center. She holds certifications in Newborn Resuscitation (NRP), Adults and child lifesaving skills (CPR), and Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO).
Cecily is married and has been blessed with six children (1 son and 5 daughters). Her goal as your midwife is to ensure that the families who choose midwifery care at Women's Health Alliance have a safe and satisfying birth experience. Cecily lives in Rockwall, TX. Her hobby is gardening for hummingbirds and butterflies.
